Exciting news broke yesterday afternoon that Al’s Serra Longo teammate Chris Weidman would fight UFC Middleweight champion Anderson Silva. Weidman, as well as his fan base have been lobbying for the fight for some time now. Chris fought his way into the conversation with two big wins over Demian Maia and Mark Munoz, two of the top contenders in the division. Weidman will take on Silva who currently has a 16 fight win streak. 10 of those wins are title defenses. The fight will take place this summer on July 4th.
