Check out THIS article via MMA Junkie that discusses the Ultimate Fighter switching back to the old TV format. With a new season on the way the show, which despite it’s popularity failed to reach ratings as high as previous seasons on Spike TV. Dana White has hinted the show will switch back to it’s old format, but remain on Friday nights. This also means fighters would only have to film the show for six weeks, opposed to the grueling twelve weeks this season. Many people are conflicted if the LIVE format is the issue, or if it’s having the show on a Friday night. Personally I like the LIVE fights, I think Friday night is just a tough time slot to see good ratings. What do you think?
If your free this Friday Night take a ride down to The Tropicana in Atlantic City for this weekends Ring of Combat. Al’s Serra Longo teammates James Jenkins and Eddie “Truck” Gordon will be fighting in their respected weight divisions, both for a Ring of Combat tittle. Jenkins(5-0) will take on Guillermo Serment(3-3) for the feather weight title, while Gordon(4-0) will be fighting Carlos Brooks(4-1) for the light heavy weight tittle. Best of luck to both of those guys in their fights this weekend. Ring of Combat, where Al has fought several times is run by promoter Lou Neglia. If you’ve never been to a Ring of Combat event it’s worth taking a trip Atlantic City, there’s always some great fights. If you have some time this weekend come down and support The Serra Longo fight team.

Last Friday night our friends over at Ring Fever came down to McCanns. They got a great look into the overwhelming support Iaquinta Nation has shown for Al throughout this season. Watch the video Ring Fever put together from that night HERE. See some great footage from the bar that night, and hear from some of Al’s friends and family who couldn’t be prouder of him and all his hard work. Again thank you for all the support. Enjoy the video and keep your eyes open for a welcome back party for Al at McCanns in the next week or two.
The great job by Al Iaquinta on this season of TUF can’t be talked about enough this week. It’s been awesome watching him every Friday this season . UFC photographers have been great in capturing all the action as it unfolded. Here’s a look at some pictures of Al’s hard work, determination, and some great moments from the past three months.
