If you haven’t heard yet, well the where have you been? Tonight Al’s Serra Longo teammate Eddie “Truck” Gordon will appear on this season of The Ultimate Fighter. If he wins his fight to get on to the show, he will join a cast of middle weights as well as light heavy weights battling it out for a UFC contract. Gordon a Freeport native has two full time jobs(three if you include taking care of his two sons). One job training as a mixed martial artist, and another as a full time home remodeling consultant. Exciting news broke yesterday afternoon that Al’s Serra Longo teammate Chris Weidman would fight UFC Middleweight champion Anderson Silva. Weidman, as well as his fan base have been lobbying for the fight for some time now. Chris fought his way into the conversation with two big wins over Demian Maia and Mark Munoz, two of the top contenders in the division. Weidman will take on Silva who currently has a 16 fight win streak. 10 of those wins are title defenses. The fight will take place this summer on July 4th.
