Once again Iaquinta Nation it’s fight night(forgive this post for being a few days early but I’m off to Vegas and will be without a computer for a few days). Kicking off this Saturday’s Fox Sports 1 Prelims will be Al Iaquinta taking on Mitch Clarke. Iaquinta comes in with a three fight win streak, and has shown how much his skill set has improved since his year layoff following TUF Live. Clarke who has had a difficult time staying healthy himself, will square off against a focused and motivated Iaquinta.
Fight after fight Iaquinta has been able to dominate each fighter he’s faced. He fought smart, efficiently, and out worked each of his respected opponents. Fight week is finally here. This Saturday Al Iaquinta will take on Mitch Clarke at UFC 173, live on Fox Sports 1 from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Iaquinta will look to improve his win streak to four in a row against the Brazilian jui-jitsu brown belt. Clarke enters the fight coming off a unanimous decision win against John Maguire. The fight which will kick off the UFC Prelims which will set the tone for what has the makings to be an exciting Memorial Day weekend card. Iaquinta looks to send a message to fight fans as well as all of UFC that he’s the fighter in the light weight division to look out for. It looks like Chris Weidman won’t be the only Serra Longo fighter fighting on the UFC 173 card. Late Wednesday night it was announced that Iaquinta(8-2-1, 3-1 UFC) will take on Mitch Clarke (10-2, 1-2 UFC) on the under card of Weidman’s middle weight title fight against Vitor Belfort. The fight will take place on Memorial Day weekend, Saturday May 24th at the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Iaquinta comes off of yet another impressive win at UFC 169 against Kevin Lee, showcasing his impressive skill set and durability throughout the fight. “Raging Al” comes into the fight riding a 3 fight win streak and looks to continue that run against Mitch Clarke.
